It's not often digital colorists received feedback from the publisher, but Marvel really liked how this page turned out with the lightning from Storm's hand. The original colorist who did the coloring on Xeroxes was pretty open on this panel with not many codes or direction. Just airbrush lighting in and do a gradient background. If I recall, they also wanted the glove airbrushed too, but with the lightning bolts being airbrushed, it just wasn't possible to do both and I decided that the lightning was more important with another airbrushed color surrounding the hand and arm. So I used your basic cut color. The airbrushing on the clouds on the first panel came out rather lame in my opinion. Again, the limitations of CB over Photoshop. Not only that, but I didn't agree with the coloring choices. Light yellow to gray? I know they were going for reflected color, but the way it was colored on paper is how it was digitally colored. <shrugs>
